Phosphene (2026)

Phosphene is a Mac app for making short vertical films that animate a brand's mark through match cuts. Every shot keeps the mark in exactly the same place and at the same size, while the world around it changes: printed on a book's edge, glowing on a watch face, painted on a hoarding, floating in an oil slick. You drop in a mark and choose a creative territory. An AI writes scene ideas, an image model renders them with the mark held in place, and an automatic check sends any image where the mark drifted or changed size to the Trash. You then curate: keep, trash, group and reorder by hand, or let an AI put the images in order by colour, shape and movement.

In Film mode, the selection becomes a cut-to-the-beat edit. You shape the speed of the cuts on a timeline curve, add looks like inversion and slow zoom, and score it with a synthesised drone soundtrack generated live in the app. The same engine exports a 1080 × 1920 MP4. Projects can hold several marks, or the frames of an animation, so a mark can walk, turn or morph across cuts.
